Texas Instruments Inc. has installed the Palladium design verification systems of Quickturn, a company of Cadence Design Systems Inc., through the QuickCycles EXtended (EX) Access program. The Palladium system offers simulation-acceleration and in-circuit emulation for complex nm chips and systems.

QuickCycles EX extends the original QuickCycles remote access model by giving customers the choice of either remote or on-site access to the latest technologies of Cadence. With remote access, equipment is installed at a nearby Cadence facility, while on-site access means that the equipment is installed directly at the customer's facility. The enhanced program also allows customers to add capacity in peak times and reduce capacity between projects.

TI plans to use Palladium on various projects worldwide for verification of its DSPs, wireless, broadband, and Internet audio products and to facilitate the development of its customers' DSP-based systems.
