Kyocera to start solar module production in Tianjin

Kyocera Corp. will commence production of solar modules at the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area in October 2003, with the establishment of Kyocera (Tianjin) Solar Energy Co. Ltd.

Kyocera (Tianjin) Solar Energy is a joint venture funded by Kyocera and Chinese Tianjin Yiqing Group (Holding Share) Co. Ltd. The business includes the development, design, and manufacture of solar modules and systems, as well as the sales, construction, maintenance, and after sales services of solar power generation systems in China. The new plant is expected to reach a capacity of 12MW per year by the end of 2004.
