Keywords:holtek semiconductor? ht23b60? data bank controller ic?

The main technical advantage of Holtek Semiconductor's HT23B60 personal data bank controller IC lies in its internal ROM structure that can store the program code and voice data code.

The device can play up to 18s of voice capacity based on a 4-bit ADPCM of 7kHz sample rate, and its PWM output can directly drive a 32-ohm speaker, making it suitable for voice output personal data bank products.

By possessing a highly stable 8-bit microcontroller at its core, the controller IC features high noise immunity and low power consumption requirements. With a power supply of 3V and 3.58MHz, it has a low operating current of 1.5mA and a sleep-mode current of 1?A.

The product also has an internal 60 x 11 dot LCD drive circuitry, 16 different LCD output voltages, 32K x 16 ROM, 2.3K x 8 RAM, 14 I/O lines, and 16 shared output lines. It includes an internal watchdog timer, Real Time Clock, 2.4V low voltage detect and Halt function.

According to the company, the HT23B60 not only provides a multifunctional and convenient-to-use device but also provides the advantages of competitive pricing, the real cost benefits of which will provide superior competitive edge to all related vendors.

Offered in a 100-pin QFP package, the IC incorporates a built-in serial-parallel-interface hardware circuit, build-in 8-bit PWM D/A hardware circuit, and built-in low battery detector.
