Apollo Display Technologies is offering a range of kitted TFT-LCD systems that include Apollo LCDs and industrial single board computers (SBCs) from IBASE Technology, a specialist in board-level industrial embedded computing solutions.

Apollo develops complete TFT-LCD systemsconsisting of a display, adapted industrial SBC and all required accessoriesthat are completely tested and ready for use. These systems or kits consist of as many as 10 components depending on the application.

Kits are now available for TFT-LCDs ranging in size from 6.5 to 82-inches diagonal, which are used in a variety of industrial applications as well as medical, ruggedized, marine and digital signage. The kits typically include an Apollo LCD, an IBASE industrial SBC, matched BIOS, a backlight inverter and data interface cables with multiple OS choices.

The IBASE component of the TFT-LCD kits may be a CPU card (full-size, half-size or industrial backplane), industrial motherboard (Mini-ITX, ATX, Micro ATX or Networking), disk-size SBC (5.25 inch, 3.5 inch or ECX), ETX (COM Express module, ETX CPU module or ETX baseboard), Compact PCI board or PC/104 Plus module.

Standard kits and custom versions are available.

Pricing for the kits vary depending on customer requirements. For example, a standard kit including a 15-inch XGA LCD, IBASE IB881 with Intel ULV CPU, matched BIOS, backlight inverter and data/inverter interface cables is priced at approximately $655.33 in quantities of 1,000.
