Analog Devices Inc. has introduced the latest addition to its portfolio of low-noise operational amplifiers. The ADA4898 offers a combination of low distortion, low noise, high speed and high precision, targeting 16bit and 18bit precision instrumentation applications.

Designed to work with ADI's precision data converters, including the AD7631 and AD7634, the ADA4898 is well suited for radar-based collision avoidance, medical instrumentation and other 16bit and 18bit precision instrumentation applications.

The ADA4898 unity gain stable op amp offers ultra-low broadband noise (Particularly suited for 16bit and 18bit systems, the ADA4898 features high speed (-3dB bandwidth of 70MHz, at G=+1) and high slew rate (40V/?s), providing the optimal combination of amplifier speed and precision, ADI said. The device operates over the extended temperature range of -40C to 125C.

Pricing starts at $1.89 in quantities of 1,000. The ADA4898-1 single is now available in full production quantities in an 8-lead SOIC package. A dual version will be available later this year.
