The high quality and flexibility of the cells of Schott are most favored by many companies. They said its extremely thin and light solar cells feature high-power density and can be shaped according to the needs of the application. The cells are flexible and can generate different voltages and currents. They accomplish both indoor and outdoor uses in mobile or stationary solar power plant installations.

Practical collaboration
Premier Solar, an Indian firm, employs Schott's ASI OEM thin-film cells when operating off-grid water pumps, streetlights and room lights. Products from ICP Solar offer solar power widely used in mobile phones, on boats, in remote areas and in farming. The Canadian manufacturer is also able to produce substantially lighter, more durable solar power devices that provide 25 percent higher output with Schott's solar cells. The Finnish company Iqua uses solar cells to manufacture the world's very first solar-driven headsets and hands-free car kits for the consumer market. Gardena, a gardening tool company based in Ulm, Germany, also uses Schott's solar cells. Gardena takes in thin-film cells to work on its solar-driven pumps for ponds and watering computers.
