The latest innovation in earphones, for the truly fussy listener, is Sonomax's custom-fitted PCS-250, trademarked as "eers." Here, Elora Meyers at "CES Unveiled" explains how the PCS-250's dual driver speakers act as tweeter and woofer while the custom-fitting provides maxiumum comfort while funneling jazz, rock or hip-hop almost surgically into the listener's inner ear. ST-Ericsson's new generation of multimode mobile modem (LTE, HSPA+ Fual Carrier and TD technologies), called Thor M7400, is currently sampling among ST-Ericsson's customers, scheduled for mass production in 2012. (The company is not saying when in 2012 yet.) What everyone wants, though, is a chip that integrates this M7400 integrated with ST-Ericsson's applications processor, said ST-Ericsson's Gerard Cronin.
