Laird Technologies Inc. has launched what it claims as the industry's first LTE MIMO 2-port omnidirectional antenna. The CMD69273 is targeted for the in-building wireless (IBW) industry that delivers cellular solution for 3G and 4G data communications.

CMD69273

The CMD69273 features dual radiating elements.

Optimized for indoor requirements, the CMD69273 increases the throughput/capacity of cellular, UMTS and LTE/WiMAX wireless voice and data standards operating in the 698-960MHz and 1710-2700MHz frequency bands.

Featuring two oriented radiating elements, the antenna provides a specifically shaped pattern that optimizes performance and maximizes coverage using a ceiling mount location. The elements also include linear horizontal/vertical polarization components that address multipath polarization propagation issues found in indoor environments. Additional features of the CMD69273 include a low profile, neutral housing made with UL 94 VO materials and a flush mount allowing easy attachment to a ceiling tile, described Laird.
