Analog Devices, Inc. has released integrated RF ICsmodulator, demodulator, and dual-mixerfor multi-band base stations and point-to-point (PtP) radios, which require multi-band support and wide-channel bandwidths.

The ADRF6720 is a 700MHz to 3GHz quadrature modulator integrated with a low-phase-noise synthesiser and output RF balun. Its local oscillator (LO) signal can be generated internally via the on-chip integer-N and fractional-N synthesisers, or externally via a high frequency, low phase noise LO signal. It features digital programmability for carrier feedthrough optimisation, sideband suppression, HD3/IP3 optimisation, and high-side or low-side LO injection. Its performance is specified over the ?40C to 85C temperature range.

The ADRF6820 is a 695MHz to 2.7GHz I/Q demodulator integrated with a low-phase-noise synthesiser, a 2:1 input RF switch, tunable RF balun, and RF DSA. The integrated demodulator is ideal for use as an observation receiver and direct conversion receiver in wireless infrastructure applications. Additional features include digital programmability for linearity optimisation and I/Q phase and gain mismatch correction.

The ADRF6612 is a wideband, dual-channel RF down-converter with an integrated IF amplifier, programmable RF balun and low-phase-noise synthesiser. The device is fully specified to operate from 700MHz to 2.7GHz. It utilises linear, doubly balanced, passive mixer cores with integrated RF and LO balancing circuits to allow for single-ended operation. The balanced passive mixer arrangement provides LO to RF and LO to IF leakages, excellent RF to IF isolation, and excellent intermodulation performance over the full RF bandwidth.
