MagnaChip adds high voltage option to 0.13-micron embedded EEPROM

MagnaChip Semiconductor Corp. has revealed that it has added a high voltage (HV) option for its 0.13?m embedded EEPROM technology. According to the company, the improved process boosts noise immunity by enhancing the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), which is a key factor in touch sensing IC performance.

The 0.13?m embedded EEPROM IP enhances the performance of touch controller ICs and MCUs by decreasing the density of 32KB memory blocks by about 50 per cent and by adding a HV option. The HV option, which features 10V and 20V transistors, requires the least amount of masks to implement and is completely independent of the 0.13?m EEPROM logic to allow seamless integration. MagnaChip also intends to release a 30V version this year, which is geared for larger screen mobile applications. Along with the 0.18um embedded EEPROM, the 0.13?m embedded EEPROM technology, through its various HV options, completes MagnaChip's embedded EEPROM technology portfolio.
