NXP B.V.'s management should begin to consider filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization in order to improve its chances for surviving and emerging stronger from a rapidly deteriorating semiconductor market.

The problem here is caused by pure greed. This is pure greed by KKR's GPs and possibly incompetence by the KKR junior hotshots. Why greed - because they leveraged the company up heavily for a short, quick fix like they typically do, without any strategic or industry knowledge simply for GP enrichment. with the absurd leverage, these thieves are simply transferring operating cash of NXP from NXP to the lenders and some to the partners pockets. The only way these idiots learn that you cannot always make a quick buck is to lose big. Which they will with NXP. Not becasue NXP is a bad company - on the contrary, Philips Semiconductors is a great company with great products, in a brutally competitive and tough market where technology changes are unpredictable, unlike selling groceries. The owners are dinosaurs and like the lumbering beasts of old, who had insatiable apetites (greed), they will disappear.
