Hmmm, with over 5 billion mobile phones in use by 2010, the mobile era arguably began quite a while ago. We've already witnessed the early leaders (Nokia, Motorola) overtaken by newcomers (RIM, Apple). Now RIM is fading as Android rises. Google-Motorola was consolidation, a classic indicator of a maturing market. The HP announcement was a moribund incumbent realizing (to their credit) that they no longer know how to be competitive in either PC or Mobile markets. Inquiring minds want to know, where did the four paragraphs about Cleantech at the end of the article come from? Best example of a "buried lead" in a while!
