Singapore manufacturing soars

Singapore's manufacturing output climbed by 12.6 percent from last year, shunning market forecasts. The increase is not due to electronics though. In fact, the output from the sector hasn't picked up globally. I wonder how long this is going to last.

Good to hear that. I'm not sure the technicality of "manufacturing output". With current situation in global market( e.g. european crisis) excessive output could turn to overstocking....As i observed 3rd to 4th quarter 2011 production ramp up to close year end billing. Now production downsize to half the capacity due to low customer demand.
