Whatever happened to quality control?

Lenovo is recalling its?ThinkCentre M70z and M90z all-in-one PCs due to faulty power supply. And I don't understand why this thing still happens. Are PC makers too absorbed into just pushing new products to the market enough to overlook product quality? I think device manufacturers need to take a step back and try to review their manufacturing processes.

A growing problem, as we have seen with recalls in the automotive industry. Supply chains get longer, companies don't audit their suppliers, only their own company and the lack of technical knowledge amongst supply chain staff is lamentable. It's all about profit - if a quote shows a cent saving, the buyer chooses that and hopes for the best, without anyone carrying out the required tests. Accountants should not be allowed to run companies
