There is so much amazingly cool "stuff" to see and do that I'm amazed I find the time to get any real work done. In my blog I will waffle on about the books I'm reading, the projects I'm building, and the weird and wonderful websites I blunder across. Please Email Me if you see anything you think will "tickle my fancy."

It's quite astonishing that one of the early microcontroller cores!the 8bit Intel 8051, which was first introduced more than 30 years ago in 1981!is still going strong. Of course, the fact that billions and billions of controllers based on this core have been sold has a lot to do......

Have a sit and be ready to be flabbergasted. I have news so exciting that I can barely bring myself to speak of it. In my earlier blog on my Ultra-Macho Prognostication Engine project, I mentioned the idea of mounting vacuum tubes on top of the engine and then lighting them from underneath with tr......

In my previous blogs on my Pedagogical and Phantasmagorical Inamorata Prognostication Engine project, I have alluded to the fact that this will be complemented by a masculine counterpart. This little beauty will be presented in an antique-looking wooden box that will sit on top of the main engine,......

In a recent blog, I tackled the creation of a rather cunning prototyping board!a dual-board combo, actually!that is being designed by my chum Duane Benson for use with my Arduino Mega. I'm happy to report that this is well on the way; the design data was handed over to the board sh......

I must admit that I am aquiver with excitement about my project to create a pedagogical and phantasmagorical inamorata prognostication engine. Key decisions have been made, interesting developments have developed, and all sorts of things are coming together. One slight issue: I have been unable ......

For the past few weeks, I've been merrily playing with Adafruit's NeoPixels. Sad to relate, I just ran into a slight problem, which may have taken out one of my NeoPixel Rings. Fortunately, there is a solution. Now, before we plunge headfirst into the fray, I'd like to start by sayin......
