At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the company has introduced its latest-generation video-processing technology that is targeted at high-volume consumer TV applications.

Dubbed "Crystal Cinema Plus," the technology is an image-enhancement solution that is integrated within the latest versions of the gm6010 and gm6015 series single-chip TV processors. The circuitry includes comprehensive picture-in-picture, video scaling and format-conversion capabilities as well as robust film-mode processing. High de-interlacing is achieved through leading-edge motion-adaptive algorithms combined with powerful directional interpolation techniques.

Crystal Cinema Plus chips are intended for the fast-growing progressive-scan TV display market. The gm6010 video processor has an analog signal interface and is intended for use in CRT-TV applications, while the gm6015 is designed for LCD-TV, PDP-TV and other applications using a digital signal interface.
