Simtek Corp. has formed a partnership with AlphaRep in which AlphaRep will represent Simtek in Germany, Austria and Switzerland to develop programs with key customers using Simtek's nvSRAM and ASIC products.

"We are excited to have AlphaRep carrying the Simtek banner in these important European markets," stated Bob Johnstone, Simtek's director of European sales. "As we extend our manufacturing capabilities into more advanced technologies, we are intensifying and refocusing our efforts in Europe. AlphaRep has a strong track record in the nonvolatile memory and ASIC markets of interest to Simtek."

Chris Tiefenthaler, co-founder and director of AlphaRep, said, "Simtek has developed an applications base in which its nvSRAM products provide the suitable high-performance nonvolatile memory solution and their ASIC conversion capabilities present opportunities to rapidly grow revenues across a broad range of customers. Additionally, long-term commercial prospects of the company's SiGe technology in data communications markets are exciting. With the coming introduction of low-voltage nvSRAM products, Simtek will increase its served available market by at least five times. AlphaRep is confident that it can play a major role in rapidly growing Simtek revenues in Germany, Austria and Switzerland."
