Force Computers' Flexor System 1 and Flexor System 2 embedded servers now offer optional 1GHz Pentium III processors.

The 1U- and 2U-high systems offer performance that meets network application requirements in high-density rack mounts. They are designed for e-commerce vendors, telecom providers and others using servers for a variety of other Internet functions.

System 1 and System 2 embedded servers offer configuration options. Single and dual 1GHz Pentium III processor-based single-board computers (SBCs) are available on both units.

Force said System 1 and System 2 processors can be implemented with up to 42 units or 21 units in a 19-inch, six-foot rack. Designed to meet the needs of space-constrained environments, System 1 and System 2 are said to offer two of the smallest-form-factor solutions at their performance level.

Prices start at $1,550 for System 1 and $1,999 for System 2, in volume.
