Picosecond signs license agreement with Stanford

Picosecond Pulse Labs Inc., a designer and manufacturer of components and test instrumentation systems, has signed an exclusive global patent license agreement with Stanford University to develop, manufacture and commercialize high-speed signal generation, signal acquisition and signal processing products for the test and measurement, and telecommunication industries.

The patents exclusively licensed under this agreement include U.S. Patent Numbers 4,956,568; 5,014,018; 5,256,996; 5,267,020; and 5,378,939 among others. This patent suite provides Picosecond with exclusive rights to develop a wide range of high-bandwidth products based on nonlinear transmission line technologies, subject to certain rights held by the patent holders.

"We're excited about the new product possibilities presented in this intellectual property. This patent suite has important technology implications for high-speed signal transport components and test instruments," said Clayton Smith, VP for Engineering.
