Entegris Inc. has agreed to purchase all the remaining shares of its Japanese affiliates, Fluoroware Valqua Japan K.K. (FVJ) and Nippon Fluoroware K.K. (NFL), from Nippon Valqua Ind. Ltd (Valqua). Entegris currently utilizes the FVJ and NFL operations to support its customers in the microelectronics industry in Japan. FVJ and NFL are jointly owned by Entegris (51 percent) and Valqua (49 percent). Valqua provides technologies to the semiconductor, automotive and electronics industries.

According to a Valqua company spokesperson, Valqua originally purchased shares of FVJ and NFL for the purpose of OEM consignment production of high-performance plastic products for its semiconductor market. However, the company says due to market needs today, it has become less significant to keep the OEM consignment. Valqua has confirmed that it will continue to use NFL as its supplier of injection-molded products.
