Zeiss offers grooving, polishing process for lenses

The company is extending its edging services through the addition of its grooving and polishing process aimed at reducing operator workloads and waste materials, which result from breakage or glazing and centration errors.

The polishing process features a "silk matte" shine, enhancing the lens rims of flat-edge bevelswithout the adverse reflections resulting from high-gloss polishing. Easy "v" bevels can also be polished on request.

Standard grooves are offered for Supra frames, while wide grooves are available for AIR RIM frames from Lindberg.
