Specifically designed for EGSM/DCS/PCS mobile devices, the tri-band RF2417 low-noise amplifier (LNA) features on-chip matching for all three I/O ports to minimize external component count. It provides a reduction mode that offers 23db gain and three mode control pins to control gain and band selection.

The 2.7V device offers a 1.6dB noise figure in the 900MHz EGSM band and 1.9dB in the 1.8GHz DCS and PCS bands; as well as 17dB (EGSM and DCS) or 19dB (PCS) gain. The 16-pin, SiGe HBT BiCMOS device consumes 4mA in EGSM mode and 5.5mA in DCS and PCS modes.

The RF2417 comes in a 16-pin leadless plastic package measuring 3-by-3mm. Samples and evaluation boards are available with production quantities scheduled for next quarter.
