The STLC60133N ADSL line driver features a power control function that allows the supply current to be set to 60 percent lower than the current required for full-rate transmission, enabling the chip to dissipate <700mW when used with a 1:1 turns ratio transformer. Suitable for high-density ADSL line cards, the class AB line driver is a plug-in replacement for the STLC60133 chip.

The device is assembled in a 4-by-9mm HTSSOP28 plastic housing. It uses the company's BCD5 submicron bipolar-CMOS-DMOS mixed technology, which allows low dc currentsjust 3.5mA per op ampand high ac efficiency with DMOS output stages having a voltage drop better than 1V.
