The company has increased the frequency range of its F4100 series crystal oscillators to 156.25MHz, up from the industry standard of 125MHz. Used in Fibre Channel, SONET and ATM applications, the device's expanded range reduces the need to multiply the frequency and provides clearer signals and less jitter for telecommunication equipment.

The 3.3V oscillators also offer standby mode for reduced power consumption, increased battery life, reduced heat generation and improved EMI characteristics.

The F4100 has a maximum input current of 60mA and a standard operating temperature range of -100C to 700C, with an optional range of -400C to 850C. The series has an output symmetry of 40 percent to 60 percent at 1.65V over its entire frequency range. Frequency stability is set at 1100ppm for all conditions.

The F4100 is priced at $5.23 per unit in quantities of 2,000.
