Aside from performing standard power measurements, the PS354 also tests harmonic distortion against standardized templates for class A to D equipment. It likewise performs line power analysis on real power, apparent power, power factor and line harmonic analysis in accordance with EN-61000-3-2 standard.

A member of the PowerMeasure System line, the equipment also measures saturation and dynamic turn-on resistance, safe operating area, and modulation analysis of pulse-width and frequency modulated power supplies.

The PS354 is equipped with an LT354 oscilloscope from the company's Waverunner-2 series, APO15 30A current probe and DXC100A differential probe. A DA1855A differential amplifier is also included, along with a DCS015 deskewing accessory that allows users to remove riming differences between the current and voltage channels.

The device also has a high-speed ADC that provides a maximum sample rate of 1GSa/s per channel and offers 250,000 points per channel of data acquisition memory. The PS354 is also equipped with the Quickzoom and Wavepilot features of the Waverunner-2 series, which makes it easier to zoom in on signal details or perform FFT or trend line analysis.

The PS354 uses the ProBus interface to integrate the current and voltage measurement accessories with the oscilloscope to provide control, power and communicate scale factor information. A PMA1 software package is also integrated into the device, as well as CustomDSO personalized menu to incorporate unique application-specific measurement.

Pricing starts at $18,310. An option of 1 million points of acquisition memory per channel is quoted at $2,000, while 4 million points of acquisition memory per channel is quoted at $4,000.
