The 1Mb M24M01 EEPROM features sequential and random read operation and allows byte and page write of up to 128 bytes. A member of the company's I2C EEPROM family, the device is suitable for use in applications requiring high-density EEPROM such as cellular phones, STBs, nomadic applications and industrial systems.

The two-wire device contain an I2C serial interface and supports 400kHz protocol. Up to eight devices can be addressed on the same I2C bus with the help of the chip-enable inputs E0, E1, E2. The M24MO1 also offers automatic address incrementing, self-timed programming cycle, a minimum data retention of 40 years and has a guaranteed read/write endurance of 100,000 cycles.

Manufactured using the CMOS process, the chip is available in an LGA package that is footprint-compatible with the S08W. The device also comes with a choice of two voltage operating ranges at 1.8V to 3.6V (M24M01-S) or 2.7V to 3.6V (M24M01-V). Both chips feature an operating temperature range of -400C to 850C.
