Claimed to be the first sunlight-readable flat-panel computing platform, the DisplayPac-ARM is powered by an Intel StrongARM SA-1110 206MHz SBC and is designed to run embedded OS including Windows CE and Linux. Typical applications include use in agricultural, transportation and medical equipment, as well as POS terminals, GPS, and data-acquisition and control.

The system provides a 266.24mm SVGA color LCD with brightness of 600 nits indoors and 800 nits outdoors, while drawing <10W. It is also available in other LCD sizes including 162.56mm VGA, 266.24mm VGA and 307.34mm SVGA, as well as options for a NEMA4 panel-mount front plate and back cover.

The DisplayPac-ARM comes with a resistive touchscreen and I/O features including seven serial ports, 10Base-T Ethernet, analog and digital I/O, USB, PS/2 mouse and keyboard interface.

In addition to 32MB SDRAM and Flash memory, the system provides a PC Card Type II socket for additional storage capacity or alternately, for I/O modules such as GPS or wireless Ethernet. A CompactFlash socket is also available for storage.

The DisplayPac-ARM requires 5V (1A) and 12V (0.75A) power input. The system has an operating temperature range of 00C to 500C with an extended range of -400C to 700C optional.

Including 16MB of RAM and Flash, and a license for Windows CE, the DisplayPac-ARM is priced at $1,795 each in quantities of 100.
