ASAT has announced that its LPCC packages comply with the Moisture Sensitive Level One (MSL-1) requirement of the J-STD-020 standard. This guarantees unlimited shelf life for packages stored at standard temperatures in an uncontrolled environment, and eliminates the baking process often required prior to mounting the package on a board or module.
LPCC packages with sizes of 5-by-5mm and smaller comply with the requirement. This classification also applies to the packages manufactured with down bonds that conform to the 0.9mm nominal thickness requirement of JEDEC outlines MO-220 and MO-229.
LPCC products can be found in PDAs, laptops, desktops, mobile phones and Bluetooth devices.
ASAT additionally validated its compliance by applying the MSL-1 full stress test methodology of the JESD47-A standard to these packages. |
