Zeevo Bluetooth solution designed for embedded apps

The Blue Shark development kit that includes the company's embedded software development suiteclaimed to be the industry's first Bluetooth solution for embedded applicationsaims to accelerate the development cycle of Bluetooth products such as digital cameras, printers and keyboards.

The suite contains a royalty-free object code of the company's Bluetooth embedded protocol stack, five profiles, drivers and utilities. Also included are the source code of Zeevo's BlueOS RTOS and an evaluation version of the ARM developer suite.

"By maintaining a royalty-free strategy for this product, Zeevo customers can save more than $1.50 in per-unit product cost over other software alternatives alone," commented Greg Ravenscroft, VP of Marketing at Zeevo.

The company is also offering the TC2000 IC on which embedded applications can be executed. The IC contains an RF, radio and link controller, as well as an embedded ARM7TDMI microprocessor with SRAM and Flash memories. Users can communicate to the chip via UART or USB interfaces.

The Blue Shark kit, bundled with the embedded software development suite, is priced at $8,000.
