Samtec micro interconnects made for blind mating

Featuring a 1.27mm pitch, the company's TFM and SFM series of micro interconnects are designed for applications requiring blind mating or a high number of mating cycles. The connectors are available with 10 to 100 I/Os and can accommodate board spacings from 6mm to 12mm.

The SFM series are stamped with the company's three-finger Tiger-Eye contacts made from soft Beryllium Copper and heat-treated to optimize the spring properties for maximum cycles. The Tiger-Eye LITE three-finger contact made of Phosphor bronze alloy is also available.

The company has also released a latching connector set (TFML and SFML series) that does not permanently lock the connectors together. The company claims that the separation force is increased by up to four times for small lead count connectors, and by >1.5 times for high lead connectors.
