Taiwan maker Windell signs technology agreement with ERSO

OLED maker Windell Corp., a subsidiary of Wintek Corp., has signed a technology agreement with Electronics Research & Service Organization (ERSO). According to the agreement, ERSO will transfer its newly developed active-matrix technology for the manufacturing OLEDs to Windell. In addition, Windell will cooperate with ERSO to develop small-size color active-matrix OLED panels for use in next-generation mobile phones. Windell will also send a team of engineers to ERSO for training.

Windell says the products feature a size of 2-to-3-inches and a resolution of 176x240 pixels.
