Amphenol Industrial Operations has launched its Amphe-Lite connectors via an exclusive deal with distributor TTI Inc. This series of rugged, cylindrical 38999-type connectors is designed for applications in harsh commercial and industrial environments with fiber-optic, power, RF, and signal requirements.

Because the connectors are inter-mountable with Amphenol's MIL-spec 38999 connectors, designers can use readily available standard 38999 insert configurations for any fiber-optic, power, RF, or signal needs.

Though the line offers high-performance capabilities for harsh environments, it's cost-effective for general duty, the company said. Pricing is 30 to 50 percent cheaper than MIL-spec equivalents.

The connectors are available in shell sizes 9 to 25. Standard shell styles such as wall-mount receptacle, jam-nut receptacle and straight plug are offered. Custom inserts are available. Prices start at $12 depending on shell sizes, configurations and volume quantities. Delivery is eight to 12 weeks.
