LG Electronics has announced the integration of Genesis Microchip's gmZAN2 LCD controller into its L1510S and L510T LCD monitors. The 15-inch, XGA-resolution Flatron monitors rely on the chip to ensure legacy compatibility with all analog-interface PC graphics cards, as well as provide numerous image-processing functions.

The gmZAN2 uses Genesis Microchip's patented algorithms and architectures to suit the analog-interface XGA market. The 135MHz chip integrates an 8-bit triple ADC, PLL, and preamplfier. It also has an on-chip programmable OSD engine and 10-bit programmable gamma-correction.

The 160-pin PQFP device has an input format detection for analog RGB up to XGA. The gmZAN2 supports one or two pixel output formats.
