Tainam Science-based Ind. Park (TSIP) Administration has revealed its target to have 50 new electronic component factories setup in the park this year. Chien Tai, director, noted, "We expect about 50 companies to set up plants in the park this year. Right now, we have 18 pending investment projects. We also aim to cooperate with the U.S., European and Japanese companies to establish their factories here in TSIP."

Tai added that TSIP is waiting for the government's approval for the development of a 1,600-hectare land in Hsin-Shi, Taiwan. "After the land is developed, TSIP expects an annual revenue of about $85.47 million to $14.25 billion, with about 3,000 to 5,000 job opportunities each year."
