The company announced the availability of the BSAFE Micro Edition product line aimed at enhancing the security of embedded and wireless devices, as well as maintain high levels of interoperability between wired and wireless networks. Included in the launch are micro edition versions of the BSAFE SSL-C, Cert-C, and Crypto-C.

The product line allows designers to incorporate digital signing, digital identity and payment features in one device. It also offers secure end-to-end communication channels and verification of software codes.

The software also allows integration of cryptographic security and extends support to IEEE, WAP, and IETF standards governing embedded and wireless devices.

"The RSA BSAFE Micro Edition product line is designed to help developers overcome the hurdles of memory constraints, performance optimizations, time to market pressures and the complexities of making robust security fit in an embedded device," said John Worrall, VP of product marketing at RSA Security.
