The 7th annual International IC ? China (IIC-China) Conference and Exhibition and the 2nd annual Embedded Systems Conferences ? China (ESC-China) gets underway with the initial show to be held at the Shanghai Mart from April 8 to 9.

Presented by eMedia Asia Ltd, the shows will also travel to the China International Hi-tech Convention and Exhibition Center in Beijing on April 11 to 12, and at the China Hi-Tech Fair Exhibition Center in Shenzhen on April 15 to 16.

Also to be held is the Electronic Design Automation and Test (EDA&T) 2002 expo as part of the Shanghai and Beijing legs of the IIC-China and ESC-China shows.

IIC-China brings together Asia's design engineers and technology suppliers from around the world, and will feature lectures and seminars from design specialists as well as product displays from manufacturers.

This year's conference will also feature forums touching on wireless networking (Bluetooth vs IEEE 802.11), interfacing and connectivity (1394, USB, Ethernet, HomePlug, HomePNA), and embedded and real-time technologies.

Co-located with IIC-China, the ESC-China show is dedicated to provide engineers and technical managers with practical information from leading authorities of the embedded industry in the United States and Europe.

ESC-China presentations will focus on themes such as communications technologies, consumer applications, FPGA/PLD-based design, computer applications, and power issues.

Both shows will feature products including high-performance converters, amplifiers, interface and DSP ICs from Analog Devices; integrated processors and IP co-processors from IDT Asia; and the latest solutions from National Semiconductor, STMicroelectronics and Sony Corp. of Hong Kong.
