The MYL series lightning-proof varistors are coated with fireproof epoxy, making them suitable for use in lightning protection applications in communication power supply entrance facilities, industrial switch cabinets, and road, railway, and aviation signal systems.

The devices have a peak current of 40kA and a maximum allowable voltage ranges of 130Vac to 680Vac or 170Vdc to 895Vdc.

The varistors are available in type A (round body, round wire lead), type B (round body, flat compressed lead), and type C (square shape body, flat compressed lead) packaging. Varistor voltage ranges from 200V to 1.1kV.
