Designed to power ICs and DSPs, the JHW050xx series of dual output 50W half-brick dc/dc converters allows core voltage to be set to as low as 0.8V, and I/O voltage modified to within 5 percent, providing flexibility and future-proofing against migration to lower voltages.

The modules are capable of operating from 36Vdc to 75Vdc, and provide dual output voltages in combinations of 5.0V/3.3V, 3.3V/2.5V, 3.3V/1.8V, 2.5V/1.8V and 1.8V/1.5V. it provides an efficiency of 87 percent when powering 3.3V/1.5V silicon devices.

Though each output is individually regulated, the two outputs rise and fall simultaneously satisfying the power sequencing requirements of silicon devices. The series also offers the SeqFET feature, which uses an extra pin to simplify external circuitry needed for alternative sequence arrangements.

The converter features an open-frame design and includes protection features such as output overcurrent and overvoltage protection, input undervoltage protection, and thermal protection. Stability and system reliability are further enhanced by monotonic start-up behavior.

The JW050xx measures 58-by-81-by-8.5mm and operates from -40C to 90C. The modules are offered in both surface-mountable and through-hole pin options.

Pricing starts at $73.50 in 1,000-unit quantities and $65.90 in 5,000-unit quantities.
