Yageo inks passive components deal with eMachine

Taiwan-based Yageo Corp. has signed a one year strategic supplier agreement with U.S.-based computer and telecom vendor eMachine.

As part of the agreement, Yageo will produce passive components, including resistors, capacitors, inductors and telecom specific components worth $34.24 million for eMachine's latest computer models to be released in the second quarter of next year.

Yageo believes that its global infrastructure and capability in providing one-stop-shop services of products, design-in, eBiz and logistic support are paramount to cementing the supplier relationship with eMachine.
