TransDimension to offer Agere PCI-based chip

TransDimension, a developer of embedded and mobile connectivity solutions, will market and resell Agere System's PCI-based chip known as the Agere USS312TC, using the TransDimension brand name. The chip will be marketed as TransDimension UHP112.

The TransDimension UHP112 includes USB software stacks and class drivers from Softconnex, a subsidiary of TransDimension, and hardware and software system solutions for embedded USB customers choosing to use PCI.

"The addition of Agere's technology to our product offerings strengthens our position in the USB embedded solutions marketplace," said David Murray, TransDimension's VP of marketing.

TransDimension is an exhibitor at this year's International IC ? China Conference and Exhibition (IIC-China), which will be held, on its final leg, in Shenzhen from April 15 to 16. IIC-China is co-located with the Embedded Systems Conferences ? China (ESC-China). IIC-China and ESC-China are events organized by eMedia Asia Ltd, a Global Sources and CMP Media joint venture.
