Sony launches latest LCD products in IIC

Sony (Hong Kong) Co. Ltd has launched its latest LCD products at the 7th annual International IC ? China Conference and Exhibition (IIC-China), which will see its final leg staged in Shenzhen on April 15 and 16. The products introduced included security camera systems, polymer lithium rechargeable batteries and memory stick interfaces.

The company also demonstrated at IIC-China a low temperature color LCD used in digital cameras and personal portable terminal applications, as well as high-temperature LCDs used in rear-projection TV receivers, and digital projectors.

According to the company, high-temperature LCDs feature high brightness and high definition, allowing them to be used in rear-projection LCD color TV receivers, home projectors and digital rear-projectors for business applications.

Sony predicts that the the rear-projection TV receivers market in mainland China will rise to about 30 percent to 40 percent this year.

IIC-China is co-located with the Embedded Systems Conferences ? China. Both eeEvents are organized by eMedia Asia Ltd, a Global Sources and CMP Media joint venture.
