The KSR-NC normally-closed tactile switch from ITT Ind., Cannon allows designers to integrate the reverse function into products using a simple switch, instead of using electronics or software.

Designed for portable devices such as radios and notebook PCs, the component measures 6-by-3.6-by-2.5mm and is suitable for most SMT soldering processes. It also has a cyclindrical-shaped actuator that enables easy pick-and-place operation either on the flat top of the actuator or on the metal top plate.

The device is offered in silver- and gold-plated contacts with 100 milliohms contact resistance, and 1VA (1ma to 50mA) and 0.2VA (1ma to 10mA) switching ratings, respectively. The device also features tin-plated terminals in J-bend or Gull-wing types.

The KSR-NC has a switching voltage of 20mV to 50V and operates from -400C to 850C for the silver-plated type, and -400C to 1250C for the gold-plated version.

Pricing for switch is below 30 cents for high volume orders.
