Matsushita, TCL sign collaborative agreement

Matsushita Electric Co. Ltd and China-based TCL Holdings have reached a collaborative agreement under which the companies will undertake feasibility studies in areas such as R&D, production, sales and procurement for the consumer electronics business.

As part of the agreement, Matsushita and TCL will focus on the supply of Matsushita's key devices to TCL, and the sales of Matsushita's products through TCL's sales channels in the Chinese market.

The two companies will also concentrate on collaborating on mutual supply of products, such as TV receivers through OEMs and ODMs, as well as R&D with emphasis on advanced A/V technology related products.
