Based on the company's EDFA platform and compatible with other vendors' complementary products, the device is suitable as a booster, line, or preamplifier in long-haul or metro applications.
The EDFA device operates from a single 3.3V supply and integrates active control of the signal level, gain, and current. It also features transient suppression that eliminates unwanted output power when adding or dropping channels.
The 150-by-125-by20.3mm device uses 25-pin D-sub connector for RS-232/TTL communication and alarm signal interfaces.
The company is also offering the PGE 60833, a smaller version of the PGE 60822 but without the integrated electronics. |
