The LTC1744 14-bit ADC from Linear Technology Corp. offers a sampling rate of 50Msa/s and a 77dB SNR, making the device suitable for high-end communication, imaging, and instrumentation applications, such as those found in basestation transceivers and broadband software radios.

The device also provides 87dB SFDR with a 5MHz input frequency, while dissipating 1.2W.

The LTC1744 has a flexible input with pin-selectable ranges of 1V and 1.6V along with a resistor programmable mode that allows the ADC's input range to be specified depending on the application. A separate digital output supply pin is provided to allow for easy connection to low voltage DSPs and FIFOs.

The LTC1744 is available in the 48-pin TSSOP package for both the commercial and the industrial temperature ranges. Pricing begins at $25 each in 1,000-piece quantities.
