SMSC controller IC bags NTS Labs USB-IF Silicon nod

The USB97C201 controller chip from Standard Microsystems Corp. has been certified as a Hi-Speed USB peripheral silicon building block by National Technical Systems Inc. The USB-IF Test ID (TID) for the USB97C201 is 40000749.

The chip is capable of transferring data packets to and from ATA/66 and ATA/100 disk drives at maximum sustainable USB 2.0 burst data rate of 53Mbps, supporting all UDMA modes from one through four.
