Taiwan-based Prime Electronics and Satellitics Inc. (PESI) has developed a family of wireless home networking products based on Cirrus Logic's Whitecap2 802.11b WLAN technology.

Cirrus's Whitecap2 network protocol is specifically designed to meet the home-user's wireless networking needs. Whitecap2 delivers home-oriented features, including support for entertainment content, such as MPEG-2 video and CD-quality audio, built-in resistance from common household interferers such as microwave ovens and cordless phones, and consumer ease-of-use attributes.

PESI is utilizing Cirrus' technology to target wireless home networking applications, including network interface cards, bridge/access points, residential gateways, set-top boxes, broadband modems, and other mobile devices.
