Maxim ADCs are I2C compatible

Maxim Integrated Products has introduced 10-bit and 12-bit ADCs that feature a sampling rate of 94.4kSa/s and interfaces directly to I2C-compatible devices without external logic.

The chips, ranging from MAX1136 to MAX1139 and MAX1236 to MAX1239, support interface speeds of up to 1.7MHz and consume 5005A during operation, making them suitable for battery-powered and portable applications.

The 10-bit MAX1136/MAX1137 and 12-bit MAX1236/MAX1237 operate from a 3V source and combine a four-channel mux, internal T/H, clock, as well as reference in an 8-pin 5MAX package.

The 10-bit MAX1138/MAX1139 and 12-bit MAX1238/MAX1239 offer 12 channels in a 16-pin QSOP housing and operate from a 5V source.

The ADCs operate at a temperature range of -400C to 850C and are priced starting at $2.75 for quantities of 1,000 pieces and up.
