NKK rotary switches have self-cleaning contacts

The MR series of PCB-mountable rotary switches from Nihon Kaiheiki Ind. Co. Ltd features adjustable stopper settings, continuous rotation, and self-cleaning contacts to ensure high contact reliability. The devices also feature a break-before-make contact mechanism and are suitable for industrial, communication, computer, and peripheral applications.

The switches are rated 125Vac, 250mA are built with molded-in and epoxy-sealed terminals. They have a mechanical lifespan of 30,000 operations and electrical lifespan of 10,000 operations.

Shipped in single-, double-, and four-pole versions, the switches are also available in a screwdriver and a shaft-actuated model. The screwdriver model has a polyamide cover for exterior protection and a behind panel depth of 8.2mm. it has an operating torque of 50g-cm to 250g-cm.

The shaft-actuated model has an exterior rubber washer and double-flatted bushing to create a front panel seal. The model has a behind panel depth of 10.2mm and an operating torque of 250g-cm to 750g-cm.
