THine to implement TI technology in LCD timing controllers
Keywords:THine Electronics? LCD timing controllers? mini-LVDS technology?
Texas Instruments Inc. (TI) and THine Electronics have agreed to develop LCD timing controllers based on TI's mini-LVDS technology. Under the agreement terms, THine will supply timing controllers featuring TI's mini-LVDS technology and develop timing controllers that support TI's mini-LVDS LCD source drivers.
The mini-LVDS technology is an interface that uses LVDS for data transfer between LCDs and video cards. The technology simplifies the transmission of video signals inside large and high-resolution monitors.
"By supplying timing controllers based on TI's mini-LVDS technology, we have been able to expand our product lineup to cover a wide range of applications from notebook PCs to digital appliances. We plan to cooperate with TI on all fronts, and be the first to bring mini-LVDS timing controllers to market," said Fumitaka Nishikawa, technical director of THine Electronics. |
